The fear of losing someone close to me or my own mortality. I’ve learned to appreciate getting another day and another opportunity at life. I’m grateful and I keep it moving.
Focus on small steps. Break massive problems down into tiny, manageable tasks so you do not feel paralyzed. Control what you can and let go of outcomes. Practice self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness instead of harsh criticism when you make a mistake or feel overwhelmed.
There Is Light At The End Of The Tunnel
The feeling that I wasn’t good enough. I had to learn how to not judge myself on every little thing. I had to stop listening to the little voice in my head that caused me to pause and doubt who I was and what I capable of. This came late in life for me. Reading Michael A Singer “The Untethered Soul” was life changing for me. This book walks you through your relationship with your thoughts and emotions. Basically you are not your thoughts
Before life tested me I was the person in question 4. After going through the dark period of losing my mother & brother within 10 months, to road to get back to a new normal was long but one day the fog lifted and it was like I experience and awakening. All of a sudden I was looking through a different lens. It was at that time that I begin to write music again. I painted my entire house light bright colors and a new me emerged
When I wrote my first song, I let a producer hear it and he tore it apart! I was devastated! I cried my eyes out and left there feeling like I couldn’t write music and was going to give up. Once I got over myself and thought about it; he wasn’t attacking my song, he was giving me some tools to put in my toolbelt on song structure. This lead to me becoming a great writer. I ended up writing for national recording artist Peabo Bryson. I had to let go of my ego and realize that he was guiding me. Growth comes with pain.
Trust your gut. I’m a believer that God speaks to us through our gut. This is an instinctive reaction or sudden belief that comes from your intuition rather than logical thinking. Some people call it discernment. If you get quite you will feel his guidance.
Fearlessness, unwavering courage and determination. You can feel the fear and do it anyway. Life can be filled with difficult decisions or periods when things are uncertain. This is when you use your discernment and make the small steps to keep going
