My purpose is to serve others and use my experiences to positively impact the people and communities around me.
My specialty is building meaningful connections with people and creating environments where individuals feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. My background as an educator, nursing student, and Director of Youth Ministry at Truth Valley Church has given me a unique perspective on service, leadership, education, and mentorship.
My purpose is to serve others and use my experiences to positively impact the people and communities around me. My mission is to combine my passion for education, healthcare, leadership, and ministry to help others recognize their potential and navigate difficult seasons with confidence and support.
What sets me apart is my journey. I have experienced having to start over, overcome self-doubt, and pursue goals that once felt out of reach. After earning my education degree and spending 13 years in education, I returned to nursing school at 35 after previously walking away because I did not believe I was capable of succeeding. I am now continuing that journey while working, raising my children, and serving my church community.
These experiences have shaped me into a leader who understands resilience firsthand. I bring compassion, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed. I do not simply want to make an impact through what I do; I want people to feel the impact of how I serve them.
My journey in service began with a lifelong love for people, education, and creating spaces where others feel supported, valued, and encouraged. Growing up in the church, I developed a strong foundation of faith and a desire to serve others. Over time, that desire grew into a passion for working with children and youth and helping them build a strong foundation of faith from an early age.
I earned my degree in education and spent 13 years as a teacher, where I developed a deep understanding of the importance of meeting people where they are, creating meaningful learning experiences, and making every individual feel seen and valued. As my journey continued, I felt called to expand my education and pursue nursing. My nursing education has further strengthened my passion for helping people during some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of their lives.
Alongside my nursing education, I have also had the opportunity to work with the Arizona Crisis Hotline, providing support and connecting individuals with resources during times of crisis. This experience has deepened my understanding of compassion, communication, crisis support, and the importance of simply being present for someone when they need help the most.
Today, I serve as the Director of Youth Ministry at Truth Valley Church, where I have the opportunity to combine my background in education, healthcare, crisis support, and faith-based service. Through our children’s ministry, Truth Valley Littles, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, joyful, and Christ-centered environment where children can learn, grow, build relationships, and develop a strong foundation of faith.
My journey has continued to evolve, but the heart behind everything I do has remained the same: serving others, investing in people, and creating opportunities for individuals—especially children and families—to feel supported, empowered, and loved.
Some of my proudest moments have come from the milestones I have reached through perseverance, service, and a willingness to continue growing. One of my greatest accomplishments was earning my degree in education and building a 13-year career as an educator. Being able to positively impact students and families through education remains a meaningful part of my journey.
Another significant milestone has been returning to nursing school and continuing my nursing education while balancing work, single motherhood, and ministry. Starting nursing school earlier in life and stepping away because I doubted myself made returning to pursue this goal especially meaningful. Reaching the point where I can see the finish line is one of my proudest personal accomplishments.
My work with the Arizona Crisis Hotline has also been an important milestone, allowing me to use my developing healthcare knowledge and communication skills to support individuals during difficult moments and connect them with resources.
In ministry, becoming the Director of Youth Ministry at Truth Valley Church and developing Truth Valley Littles has been another meaningful achievement. Creating a welcoming, faith-centered environment where children can learn, grow, and feel valued is something I am extremely proud of.
While awards and formal recognition are meaningful, I consider the lives I have been able to impact, the obstacles I have overcome, and the example I am setting for my two boys to be among my greatest accomplishments. Each milestone represents growth, resilience, and my commitment to continuing to serve others.
To me, being “Dauntless” means having the courage to move forward even when you are afraid, uncertain, or unsure of how everything will work out. It does not mean that I never experience fear. It means I have learned not to allow fear to make my decisions for me.
I practice being dauntless by continuing to pursue the things that once intimidated me. Returning to nursing school is one of the biggest examples of this. I realized that if I wanted to teach my two boys to pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles, I had to be willing to do the same. I went back to school, continued working, raising my children, serving in ministry, and pursuing my nursing education—even when life became difficult.
Being dauntless also means being authentic. I no longer feel the need to pretend that I have everything figured out. I can acknowledge where I have struggled while still being proud of how far I have come. I try to show up with compassion, courage, and my whole heart.
Every day, I choose to keep going. I choose growth over fear, purpose over comfort, and courage over doubt. To me, that is what it means to live dauntlessly.
If I had the power to change one thing about the world, I would change the way we care for people when they are at their most vulnerable. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, heard, and worthy of compassion—regardless of their circumstances, income, background, or struggles.
My own experiences have taught me how much a caring person can impact someone’s life during a difficult season. In each of these spaces, I have learned that sometimes people do not need someone to fix everything; they simply need someone willing to listen, encourage them, and remind them that their life has value.
I want to help create a world where compassion is not the exception but the standard. Whether I am caring for a patient, supporting someone in crisis, or pouring into children and families through ministry, I want my presence to leave people feeling more hopeful than when I found them.
Outside of work and school, I am a mom first, and I truly value spending quality time with my children. My family keeps me grounded and motivated, and I enjoy creating memories with my boys, whether we are trying something new, cooking together, or simply enjoying time at home.
I also have a strong love for fitness and staying active. I enjoy working out and finding ways to stay healthy while balancing the many responsibilities in my life. Cooking is another passion of mine, and I love preparing meals and trying new recipes. Most of all, I enjoy anything that gets me outdoors—from hiking and exploring new places to simply enjoying fresh air and sunshine. For me, being active, spending time with my children, and staying connected to the outdoors are some of the ways I recharge and maintain balance in my life.

My greatest heroes are my mother, my aunt, my children, and the mentors who have encouraged me throughout my journey. My mother taught me the importance of faith, perseverance, and serving others. Watching her dedicate her life to ministry showed me that leadership is not about recognition—it is about being willing to pour into others and make a difference.
My aunt is another one of my greatest inspirations. I admire her philanthropic accomplishments and the way she gives back to her community. She carries herself with such confidence and has always shown me what it looks like to believe in yourself while also using your success to uplift others. Her example has taught me that confidence and compassion can go hand in hand, and that true impact comes from being willing to invest in other people.
My children are also some of my greatest heroes. They motivate me to keep going, especially during difficult seasons. I want them to see that setbacks do not have to define you and that it is never too late to pursue your dreams.
Throughout my education and nursing journey, I have also been blessed with teachers, professors, coworkers, and leaders who have believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. From all of my heroes and mentors, I have learned the importance of faith, confidence, discipline, compassion, humility, and perseverance. Most importantly, I have learned that success is not simply about what you accomplish for yourself, but how you use your experiences and influence to encourage, serve, and uplift others.
