There’s nothing better than hitting the reset button for rest, relaxation, and fun times with the girls – it’s the Ultimate Girls Trip 2023 to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in September 2023! LAIK Experiences curated a unique, travel-outside-the-box excursion to Autocamp, Cape Cod! 63 ladies boarded planes from locations such as Atlanta, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, and more to convene in Boston for a bus ride to enjoy an exclusive glamping Experience!
Autocamp offers camping without sacrificing comfort – they take everything that’s awesome about sleeping in the wilderness and turn it up a notch by adding modern grandeur and charm. The ladies “camped” in luxury airstreams, complete with comfy beds, spa-inspired bathrooms, equipped kitchen areas, and more! It’s a dream vacation in the wild!
Upon arrival, the ladies were surprised with a welcome gift – a bottle of bubbly to sip and toast, a petite notebook to jot down memorable moments, a tealight in a holder crafted from a small circle of wood, and snacks!
The Day 1 activities continued that evening – the ladies enjoyed a delicious dinner plus wine that was oh-so appealing in the Autocamp Clubhouse. Of course, the décor was fab-u-lous in shades of tan, natural, blue and white. After dinner, the ladies enjoyed a DIY flower bar, creating their own cute floral arrangement in mason jars from an array of flowers, greenery, and accessories to take back to their airstreams. Since the theme of the trip was wellness and relaxation, the ladies brought wellness gifts for one another and took a stroll from the Clubhouse to various airstreams to swap gifts, chat, and enjoy the night under the stars.
Day 2 began earrrrly in the morning (yawn!) – a few ladies met at the Clubhouse, rented bikes, and took a 10-minute ride to the beach for meditation, photographs, and fun. Some of the ladies also participated in morning yoga on the Autocamp lawn at the Clubhouse. What better follow-up to morning meditation and exercise than a delectable breakfast bar, complete with free-flowing mimosas! Cheers!
Early afternoon brought a short bus ride to the Cape Cod Winery, a quaint family-run business that offers a bar, wine tastings, gift shop, and beautiful grounds. Several of the ladies “sipped and painted” a sunny beach scene, while the others enjoyed small bites and wine, coloring and chatting it up! On the way back to Autocamp, many of the ladies got off the bus in downtown Falmouth to saunter among the shops and restaurants.
In the evening, after dark, it was movie night! The ladies camped out on the lawn and dined on delicious lobster rolls, clam chowder, and corn on the cob. The movie of the night was a 90’s cultural classic – the artsy, romantic, never-to-be-forgotten love story – Love Jones! The movie was screened upstairs in the Clubhouse, and live acoustic music was downstairs.
Day 3 was a Free Day! But first, a pause for the cause – an important giveback campaign to benefit the national nonprofit organization, One Warm Coat, whose mission is to distribute coats to adults and children in need in communities across the nation. The ladies donated brand-new children’s coats to be given to the organization to distribute to its beneficiaries.
Martha’s Vineyard is known as the place of beautiful beaches, magnificent houses, and names that anyone would love to drop such as Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill & Hilary Clinton or Mr. 40 Acres & a Mule himself – Spike Lee. On Free Day of the Ultimate Girls Trip, the ladies ferried over to MV on the Island Queen to enjoy a day of shopping, dining at MV’s wonderful restaurants, and taking in the photographic and historic sights.
Ultimately, Autocamp Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard owed absolutely nothing! Oh, My “Cod,” what a wonderful trip! #BlackGirlsGlamping #TravelOutsideTheBox
